Transmission swap

I have a 2005 chevy 2500 hd with the 6.0 and a 4l80e tranny and looking to swap out the tranny but Does anyone know if the 6l80e with bolt up to it or if it's possible ?

The 6L80e is for the 1500's of a different generation. There will be a total change of programming and connections. I highly doubt there would be any realistic way to swap that trans into your truck.

Basically its possible but you need a gen 4 6.0 with the 6L90e, whole harness, ecm and tcm.

Well is there any 6 speed transmission that will work or should I throw that idea out the window?

PATC makes a 6 speed 4L80e but it is pricey. Basically stick with the 4L80e

For thr basic 4wd LS 6 speed 4L80e you are looking at almost $7000

Im tied between that 6 speed 80 and a gearstar 80e lvl 4

Not worth an 80 swap unless youre pushing more than 450 hp or trying to turn massive tires. I have more power than you and i am still on my original 60.

Within the next 5 years i want to bore an lq9 to a 427 but for now thats just a pipe dream, im half saved up for that lol 8K for a built LQ9 427 with ported and polished heads

Dont think an LQ9 can go to 427. It can go to 408. The L92 can go to 427

I got a quote from a speed shop for a lq9 they had the 408 and the 427 was only 400$ more [emoji32][emoji32][emoji32] i'd be worried with the 427 though because i would want a 200 shot and i'd probably blow the block
