Big Lifts - Last Year's $#;+?

Are you seeing less of the big lifts around your area?

Here in SoCal, I don't see nearly as many of newer trucks with the big lifts as a few years ago. I'm talking about 6" and higher. Lots more "pre-runner" or "trophy-truck" style trucks though.

To an extent. There is a lot of Rocky Ridge K2 trucks around here in the county. There are two or three dealers who will have 2-4 of them on the lot at a time.

Honestly, I don't think it is practical. Even a 6 inch lift with 35's is really pushing it on being a practical daily driver. Even a truck that is re-geared still has downsides to it. Also, anything higher than the "normal" amount of lift, and your attracting legal attention. Not just the cops either. If you crash your truck and they can prove the victim was injured or worse because of the height of your vehicle, it's good night nurse for you.

I still haven't been able to afford my lift, but when I do, I won't be going over 4 - 5 inches and 33's. I still need to keep the vehicle somewhat practical, as it is the only one I have.

I'm in OC (CA) and I still see my fair share of lifted trucks. I got tired of not being able to park my lifted Sierra in parking garages or always having to plan for parking.
