01 Sierra 1500 brake issue. please help

Ok.. here is the situation

Have a 2001 sierra 1500 4.8 v8 ext cab with traction control. recently the brake line rusted trough and I have no brake.

My friend offer to do the work for me however after changing the 2 front line we are not getting anything on the rear brake.

Rear brake lline have been tested with compress air and is ok. Master cycl have fluid coming out to the abs pump. From the abs pump 2 line goes to the front and they are working but the back port have no fluid. My friend thinks the abs pump is clog and needed a new pump assembly.

The pump assembly have been disconnected long ago because it run all the time, which mean the control module is gone on that thing. However I also heard that one must have a working pump in order to get the thing to bleed along with using a compression pump.

So does that mean if my abs pump control is messed up.. I am doom? Also here is the kicker I can't get a reasonable abs pump assembly with traction control locally in Toronto Area, Could i plug in a non traction control pump? If not what could I do to get it bleeded correctlly? and could I do it without it powered on?

I have also read that someone with other truck manage to bypass the whole abs and go straight to the master cycl.. but don't this require the truck to have a proportioning valve? I read that on this truck, it is part of the abs pump and also how to split from the master 2 lines to the 2 front and 1 rear brake line?

Any help will be great

Take it in , don't mess with your brakes for public safety sake , the Internet is NOT the place for this concern ,

No abs means normal everyday brakes , you have a problem or someone doesn't know how to bleed brakes and ya need a licenced tech

he is a licensed tech.. it is at his shop on the hoist. Even a licensed tech don't work on the same vehicles all the time, so sometimes weird issue comes with with different card. I am just trying to get a second opinion as there are other experts on this truck.

There are many discussion on this topic all over the internet that bleeding this truck is a pain in the butt.

Also did you not notice that I said I can't get an abs pump with traction control? So how am I suppose to get it back on the road? I needed to know if I could just use one without traction control just to get the brakes bleeded and working and then disable the system?

you call a GD parts guy about the different ABS crap , not the Internet , it is about programming the modual as well , you're asking a question that is impossible to answer unless your a parts guy with your VIN in front of him ,

Stop posting more than 1 thread about your concern , it's not nessassary ,
