95 K1500 Issues

I bought a 95 Chevy K1500 that the owner said had a 350 engine in but the VIN says it's a 305. Since most of the parts are the same, I haven't worried that much about it. The truck ran good except the check engine light would come on occasionally. It would go away when I restarted. I had the code read and it said that it was the EGR. I put a brand new EGR valve on and the truck started to run like crap. It would stall out when trying to accelerate from a stop and would have no power on the highway (with the pedal floored, I can't even hit 70). I changed the EGR solenoid and now it doesn't stall out from a stop but it still has no power on the highway. I also replaced the fuel pressure regulator since that seems to be a common problem, but it didn't change anything. I have no idea what to try next and I don't have a lot of money to throw at it so any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I finally gave up and took it to the mechanic. It turned out to be the cap and rotor, which I wondered but it seemed to happen fairly suddenly.
