Hid install woes{SORRY!}

Hi guys

 

I got my mirimoto hid system from retro source which said plug and play, it came with 2 bulbs 2 ballasts and a hd relay harness, roughed in and all worked, installed and all worked, spent a lot more time today getting everything neat and hidden, checked at various times that it still worked, as soon as I installed the plastics and shut the hood it stopped working, I rechecked and everything is still connected, so am I really unlucky or do I need more parts? the tail and side lights are on and the headlamp indicators on the dash with the pinger going with the door open so the truck thinks they are working

 

any help will be much appreciated as I'm loosing my mind right now and might have to pull it all off just to get to work tommorow

I've had bad luck with the relay harnesses on several installs.

I just took it all apart again and found one connector pin pushed back out, put it all back together after sorting the connector and it works a treat so panic over.........

Update and more questions

 

DRL's flicker so I have to turn my lights on manually, asked retrofit and they said swap the wires round on the capacitor, I now have one light works and one that doesn't and the relays buzz while on DRL, both lights work perfectly on dipped beam

 

one light has the xb ballast and amp-this is the one that works

one side is a 3five ballast-this is the one that doesn't

 

if I completely take out the capacitor the xb still works on DRL lol

 

any help would be appreciated because I'm pretty close to taking it all off and going back to stock
