2014 Silverado HID fog light troubles?

I see a bunch of threads on guys having issues with the 35w HID kits discoloring/ melting the housings in the Sierra foglight housings. What I haven't seen are guys having trouble with the Silverado rectangular housings. So my question is, has anyone had issues with the 35w HID's in the Silverado rectangular housings, or are yall only having issues with the Sierra round foglights? Thanks

Would not recommend HID in fogs at all. No projector lens with cut off. Too bright will blind incoming traffic. Plus, they get too hot. I am sure Sierra and silverado has similar heat tolerances as they came from the same factory

Think an led bulb would match good? Don't want the lights to mismatch either. Plus the led bulb will light up instantly when I flick off my high beams (in VA you cannot have your fogs on with your high beams and cannot have no more than 4 driving lights on at the same time, kind of stupid but oh well)

So what about DRL? Are they disabled?? But yeah, LED should go in fogs. If you have 5000k HID , you might want 4500 or 4300 k LED.

No they operate. And actually I can turn on my fogs with the drls. Weirdest thing but maybe that is how GM has these K2's setup
