I was going to convert my AR pistol to a SBR but since the backed off on the brace language I have kept it as is. I did take the original Sig brace off and went the KAK route.

With a slim rail and a simple handstop I find no need for a vertical grip.

I have the KAK on mine. It's ok but the hardness of the blade and how slim it is really starts to hurt over time. Not an issue for plinking but if you start getting into combat style shooting and training it isn't great. I'm probably going to buy one of the newer more slimlined SB braces. They even have some PDW styles now which are nice.
