Just go with a muffler deleate. Much better and cheaper.

But won't you have drone in v4 mode? I have mine Diablo tuned but do drive a lot for work on highway so would like to keep v4 on for mpg

No drone I clamped the flapper open and it's still good.

Why not just remove the adaptive valve then? I would think having it open would cause more drone?

Yes you can. If the valve is still there, they'll be a square spring loaded lever on the other side of the pipe facing the driveshaft.

Go to a hardware store and pick up a 3/8-1.5" bolt, nut, lock washer, and a (2) 1" flat washers. With the the washers and nut on the bolt open the valve and install the bolt/nut assembly into the lever and tighten. This will hold the clamp open.

The valve is there to reduce drone when it switches to V4 mode. They're have actually been instances of the valve freezing shut in colder areas. I opened mine a couple months ago on my stock exhaust and I think it sounds a lot better. Really no difference in drone or fuel economy.

When looking at the square on the flapper, does it rotate counter clockwise to the open position?

It's normally closed so whichever way it'll open. I believe it's ccw.
