Torque management questions

So I bought my 2005 z71 Sierra slt 1500 about 6 months ago and it didn't take me long to figure out what torque management was. It doesn't really bother me now that I guess I've learned how to drive it with the TM to where I can use most of the power the way I want it except for those certain conditions. I'm not so much worried about spinning the tires or anything anymore, it's just more of while I'm driving. It's annoying when I'm running on the interstate about 75+ and hit it to pass someone and it only revs up to 3000 rpm. My question is, is it worth buying a programmer to reduce the TM or should I deal with it and save the money. Are there also any other power limiters working with this? And, I'm currently running 33" tires and might want to go up to some 35" tires...will this affect it in any way? Thanks in advance.

Torque Management decreases the rpm's right before the shift of the transmission (upshift), it should not be reduced it should be eliminated with a tune.

Tm, engine tm, and abuse mode may be holding you back also. You should blackbear. Blackbear makes a world of difference

You will never rev over 3k when going to WOT at any speed over 68, with a 4l60e/5.3, there's no point as going to 2nd gear will jump the RPMs over 5400 rpm, which is the HP peak for the 5.3, so it will just make noise and make you feel good, but make no real power. Also, if you plan on removing torque management, plan on smoking the transmission shortly thereafter, especially with those tires. Gotta pay to play as the old saying goes.

In stock form, I think 1-2 shift is 5500rpm and the rest are 5000-5200rpm, can't remember. That's why it won't downshift into second from 70-75 ish, only to 3rd. Kind of falls on it's face for second as the fuel enrichment programming catches up to the engine, then starts to run.

Mine will kit down to 2nd from 70-73ish. There is about 10-12 mph left at the top 2nd for me since I got mine tune. My tuner raised the shift points to 5800 in all gears lol. I had mine tuned with 285/70r17 around 160k and now have 315/70r17 and about to hit 200k on stock engine, trans and gear. No shifting issues at all and I don't baby her either. I want to regear to 4.56 to help when towing and cruising in top gear. With the 3.73 gear, she hunts a little more on the highway. The best I can describe it is a stock 4x4 with 4l60e/3.42 with extra weight in the bed.
