Curious on t-case conversion

I despise the auto 4 LOL i've only used it once. I know when i need 2, or 4. Also i would rather have heavier stronger parts than lighter weaker parts even if that means a loss of a mpg

Not trying to be argumentative but, what makes you think the gear box in the truck now isn't up for the jobs you'll throw at it? Is it like the auto 4x4 in the newer 1500 trucks where you can pic 2 high, auto, 4high and 4 low?

I think it is up for the job, but if i have the option to run a stronger drivetrain than i will. Yes i have the auto, 2, 4 hi, 4 low switch.

Just my opinion but, I think by the time you spend the time and money it just wouldn't be worth it for what you'll gain. I really like the shift on the fly electronic 4 wheel drive system in my sierra, my friend has a 2002 Silverado 2500HD and it's kinda inconvenient to reach down to the floor shifter.
