Probably a stupid question but... Whenever I open the driver door to enter the seat move up by itself. It's really a pain in the ass. I have to wait till its done then press the memory button to put it where it should be. Anyone have the solution?

Go to the settings in your mylink system. It's called the departure assist mode or something along those lines.

Alright, so it doesn't do it when you exit the vehicle? Only when you open the driver door upon entry?

If I understand correctly, you want the seat to remain in the "exit" position until after you're in the truck, correct? I've thought the same thing, but as far as I can tell the only option to make that happen (relatively) automatically would be to set both the easy exit position and the default driving setting to a "low" position, then hit the other driver button when you're in the truck. That way, when you open the door the seat would stay in the lower easy exit position, then you have to press a button to move the seat to your driving position.

Considering that the seats (at least the passenger seat) is sensitive to weight, it would have made sense for GM to program it so the seat resumes the driving position not upon opening the door, but upon weight being placed on it... but I suppose that could cause a problem if someone isn't fully in the seat yet and it started moving.

He's saying it automatically moves when he opens the door to enter the vehicle and then has to hit the memory seat to set it back so he can get into the truck

Exactly.

If you are opening it with the remote, the fob you are using is for the 'other' memory position. (for whatever reason, the fobs aren't numbered anymore)

Try 'setting' your preferred location to the other memory number (or switch fobs)

Turn the easy exit function off in the DIC and reprogram your preferred settings

Had this happen to me when I used the other fob to open the door and the seat went all the way up and tilted forward 6 inches from the steering.. was a wtf moment.

Easy fix is program your seat settings to both 1 and 2.. the way no matter which fob you use will have your correct setting.

If you don't want the seat to move, ever, turn off the easy exit in the DIC.

You can enable/disable the exit position function separately from enable/disable of the auto recall of positions saved for fob 1 and fob 2.
