Is there anyway to stop the auto door lock. Just got 2015 2500HD work truck and it is giant hassel every time a emplyee gets out and comes back i must unlock his door. Also is there any way to stop the door dinger from dinging every time the driver door is open. As a work truck we are in and out all day long and do need to be locked in or reminded that the door is open.For city trucks this might be OK but for

people who work with trucks this sucks. What is GM thinking?

The dinger problem I can't comment on but the door lock problem...there should be a setting in the DIC for changing when the doors lock/unlock. If you don't have that setting, then I'm not sure what you can do.

Automatic door lock setting cannbe changed through the HMI. The door chime requires a lot more involved process.

Should be able to change the lock to lock after a certain speed is met, and to unlock when truck is put in park.

 

I think you will find that if you get yourself to just accept the noise as being normal, you will not even hear it anymore. I would think the easiest way to disable the chime from the driver's door being opened with engine running is to get the door jamb switch to never close the circuit. If it is a single wire switch, disconnect it. Keep in mind what else that little switch does though.
