Which 6.0 spark plugs?

Recommended Posts

Ive read back to 2008 in one of these subforums prior to getting a 2003 Chevrolet 2500 6.0. It has about 165k miles and i want to swap plugs sometime in the near future. Do I use AC delco double plats at .060 OR NGK Iridiums at .040?

Thank you!

Ok I found them. Weird though. Some stores carry them, some do not. I had to enter the actual part #, lookup by vehicle didn't show them. New problem now: what wires do I need, the9748HH or the 9748GG?

When dealing with electrical or ignition components, I always go with OEM. Just did the plugs and wires on my truck, which just turned 100k. Also my mechanic strongly suggests to change the wires with the plugs.

Good opinion slimjim! Not long after i spent thousands on bolt ons ( moroso, centerforce, hypertech, hurst, synthetic oil, borla) and probably made the car slower, i declared OEM the way to go. This was for my 97Z28 back in 2000-02. Then i got into sportbikes and was a proponent for just buying a 750 instead of trying to,get more power from a 600, kind of mentality.

My truck came with a K&N and a dual outlet flowmaster. I put on a paper filter i had and will store the cotton gauze filter in case i decide to use it at a later time.

One set is 1/2" longer than the other, just buy it
