My brothers 2004 Chevy Venture has the battery light on on the dash. Battery, belt and alternator good. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Maybe borrow an obdii scanner from your auto parts store to see if any codes come up.

Typically, I would expect low voltage for a light like that.

Not in the right section, but, found some info in the manual:

Charging System Indicator Message

The charging system battery symbol will come on in the message center when you turn on the ignition as a check to show you it is working. It will remain on as long as the engine is not running. It should go out once the engine is running. If it stays on, or comes on while you are driving, you may have a problem with the charging system. It could indicate that you have problems with a generator drive belt, or another electrical problem. Have it checked right away. Driving while this indicator appears in the message center could drain your battery. If you must drive a short distance with the message on, be certain to turn off all your accessories, such as

the radio and air conditioner.

Would definitely recommend just going in to an autozone or parts store and getting the codes read. They will also check the charging system for free (usually). Easy place to start.

Maybe the voltage is to high...

How much over 14 volts did it check? At idle or at cruise rpm?
