stupid theftloc question

How do I know if it is activated? If it is not activated, can I remove the battery and not have any problems with the radio when I reinstall the battery?

It used to be so much easier with my 69' Chevy...

Theftlock, at least in mine, has a small red LED that flashes every few seconds when the vehicle is "off". I suppose it's some sort of deterrent.

Thanks! I enabled my theftlock but when I turned the ley off, my light didn't blink, but when I went to disable it, it showed that it was indeed secure (sec). I really don't see the point of having it enabled where I live anyway.

I braved it, found the manual and managed to pull the radio out far enough to plug in the cassette cable. Now I have AM/FM/CD/cassette.

Where is the red light at, on the dash. I dont think mine is working properly. Never noticed a flash. ???

Mine is right near the volume knob.

Yup...right next to the volume knob. It flashes really breifly with long pauses between flashes...and it's pretty dim too. If it's daytime, forget it...you'll barely see it.
