lifted upper control arms (2007NNBS)

Hey guys, I have a leveled truck, and whenever I work on the front suspension it's a bear to get it apart and back together... I also noticed today that it seems like the upper control arm never really separates from the suspension stop... Has anybody else noticed this? I don't have a 3" lift but should I consider a set of http://www.amazon.com/Rough-Country-1278-3-3-5-inch-Chevrolet/dp/B00DDUYKJQ? Does anybody have any experience with these control arms and how they hold up vs stock? Right now I have a pair of Moog replacements ready to go in but they are the same geometry as the stock arms. Any experience is appreciated.

If the knuckle is gone and the UCA still is against the stop then it was installed wrong , always always always bark the bolts for the UCA in the loaded position(sitting)

They're still stock, and they move when they're free, but with the lift they are forced pretty low...

With the wheels off the ground that is normal , never play with suspension unloaded ( wheels hanging)! Unless torsion bars are unloaded

Then your torsion bars are wound up to high , they should NOT BE TOUCHING loaded

No Torsion bars Rob. it has the coil/strut assembly

Isn't that the problem then if it moves the LCA down then , puts the UCA lower to the stop .

Sounds normal for messin with factory then

Right, that's why I'm asking if anyone knows anything about the rough country arms, and if they'll help even though my lift isn't that high, or wether they're a waste because idk how low the strut goes

Those trucks are rough on uppers so I'd beware of putting anything but moog or oe in it. As long as it rides fine I don't think it's hurting anything.

I have a 3" level on mine and when the suspension is loaded(truck on the ground with weight on suspension) it just barely misses it but with suspension unloaded( truck in the air no weight on suspension ) it touches. I haven't used those arms but by looking and studying them a little the only thing it does is change the position of the ball joint so that there isn't any strain on it such as an extreme angle, if you want to get the arm off the stop you need to do at least a 4" with a "subframe". IMO
