Go to the dealer and test drive an exact same replica of your truck. If it doesn't make the same sounds, then point that out to the dealer. Tell them they will fix the truck, or you will drive home a different "new" one at their expense. That should make them try a lil harder to fix the problem.

incorrect, that will not make the dealer do anything at all. the dealer is not required to buy you out of the vehicle. That is something GM has to do. So I would not threaten the dealer as while they are the ones to troubleshoot they may not be able to track it down, that is where the dealer should be getting GM involved.

During my initiation as a Chief we pulled a prank on one of the genuines and put marbles in the little holes on the side of the truck bed. Created this noise exactly and drove the Master Chief absolutely crazy. Unless you're a Navy CPO, we probably didn't do this to you, but if you have kids or deviants in your neighborhood, I would suggest checking this possibilty out...
