Anyone experiencing a high pitched rattle/vibration coming from the dash bezel framing around the gage cluster? Only hear it on bumpy roads. Its not the popping sound I hear from the dash every once in a while, that I can live with. This new one is driving me nuts.

I've been hearing the same type of rattle under my dash the last few weeks, again on bumpy roads. The stiff suspension doesn't help as it gets the rattle going all the time now. To me it sounds like it's coming from the bottom left portion of the dash where the emergency brake is at. On my last truck (08 Silverado) I got the exact same rattle start up from the same place a few months before I traded it in. But that truck had nearly 100k miles so I didn't worry about it, This truck is new, so I plan on taking it in to the dealer soon.

If it sounds like a screw rattling in a cup. It's the CD player. Stick a cd in and see if it goes away.

At least that is what mine is doing. There is a guid or something in the CD player that rattles.

Install a little felt tape or even a little piece of cardboard behind the trim part directly below the steering wheel and above the pedals. I had a metal part vibrating. Nearly drove me nuts.

I'll try the CD player, but, I think its closer to the steering column as suggested above. Do I need to loosen anything before using the tape/cardboard?
