Start up revs?

I went from an 07 to a 13 this last week. Anybody else notice the rpms jumping up to 1500 on startup. Not cold outside. I cannot remember the 07 revving up like that on start up everytime when the engine was already warmed up.

Read the tips and tricks post. Tells you how to disable that. From what I read it does that to heat the engine up quicker at a certain outside temperature. A ton of good tricks in that post.

Mine does this occasionally when I put it in gear, it will drop the RPMs and almost die then jump up and take off.

The primary purpose behind that is to warm up the exhaust system to help with smog control.
