Break light on dash blinking

I have a 1990 Sierra, the break light on the dash has been on for awhile but it recently started blinking, It flashes 6 times and then stays for a min then starts over. I cant seem to find the answer to it anywhere. Any ideas?

Have you check you brake fluid level? That would be a start.

Your BRAKE light flashing is most likely an early ABS concern .... Read owners manual for more info ,
