As cheap as they are I would also get 15304701-L terminals, in case your wires are smaller than 18ga. The $4.99 shipping fee will be the big expense.

For the Inverter, it should not be a problem if fused properly. I would wire from X14 of the under dash junction block. Pin 2 is a 15A battery feed, pin 5 is a 30A battery feed. Only thing to remember is these are battery feeds, so you can't leave something connected or ON that would drain the battery if the truck is OFF.

Oops, I am not sure if your 2014 has the same junction block that I referred to above. They are used in 2007-2013. Unsure about 2014s since the changed body styles

I did some checking. Disregard the Oops paragraph in above post. Your 2014 WILL have the under dash junction block. So pin 2 15A, or pin 5 30A are battery supplied, and pin 7 is 10A "hot" in "run" position of the key. See if any of these are open for your use.

As far as the pins go, I would order the the 20ga pins too, but Mouser shows out of stock and a 9 week wait. I'll have to find them. By the way, I've asked these questions over at the dealership and all I usually get is we can't do it. With your knowledge of electrical you should teach GM techs and upfitters.

It's a Junction Block, NOT a Fuse block. It has a black plastic cover that pulls off. A bunch of 8way connectors in different colors, spots for two rows of five. Right row, starting at the bottom is X6 then going up X7, etc. to X10 at the top. Then left row going down, starts with X11 thru X15.

On my 2011 Silverado 1500; X6, X14, and X15 do not have connectors. Your Suburban may be different.

Tried to get that cover to release. Got the side lose, but the button in the middle won't budge and the pry tool just bent the button ears. Is the Silverado buttoned too?

Think I solved my laptop charging problem. Although having a permanently installed inverter might be preferable, I found a cup sized 110v 150w inverter to plug into a port and it's less than 30.00. Just sharing in case anyone is looking for a convenient inverter and stumbles across these posts.

Tried to get that cover to release. Got the side lose, but the button in the middle won't budge and the pry tool just bent the button ears. Is the Silverado buttoned too?

Silverado has the "button" near the cover center. There is a hole in the bottom corner of the cover. I reach in with a finger towards the center and yank the cover off.

Still have to find the 20ga terminals (PN 15304701-L). It's been a while, but might go to a juck yard to see what I can dig up. I'll disconnect the battery negative before I install the Homelink to avoid any voltage spikes, but I'm still concerned about messing up a computer.

Try terminalsandconnectors.com, just leave the "-L" off the part number

Found the pins I need … have to spring for the minimum order of 15.00. While at the terminals and connectors site I had a look at the Delphi GT 150 block assembly and disassembly. After I crimp on the wires, am I understanding this correctly that you just push in the new pins till they click to lock position and that's it?

Correct. If the connector has a Terminal lock, it goes in next.

You will need an "open barrel" crimper/crimping pliers if you do not have one. That will help make the $15 minimum if you have to buy one.

It sure did meet a 15.00 minimum … crimpers run 88.00 to 385.00, so I guess I'll do my best with my cheap crimpers and a soddering iron. LOL

16 Way Black GT 150 280 Unsealed Male Connector Assembly Part #13513961

But no terminal connector for 18 and 20ga wire on this either. Do you think I can make terminal 15304702 work?

No luck with T&C.com Can I use any of Mouser's terminals below to do this the right way? Because I'm thinking of soddering the wires flat, filing to terminal size and pushing them into the connector.

If this is the correct connector, can you determine if you need GT 150 or GT 280 terminals?

From your picture earlier I guessed it was Part number 13516907 which is a 16 way GT 150 series connector. Meaning it does not use GT 280 terminals.

GT 150 are 1.5mm wide male blade

GT 280 are 2.8mm wide male blade
