Front park assist issue

First time I noticed this issue was the other day when driving in traffic. The vehicle had collected a lot of road spray. After shutting down and restarting later the graphic came up indicating that I have an obstacle on the front left. After I left the vehicle out in the Sun for a while it had warmed up significantly and everything functioned fine. Yesterday I took the vehicle to a car wash and brought it home. Cranked up later and same thing front left obstacle. No build up...no visible moisture no nothing. Bulletin on this?

I have constant issues with both front and rear. It actually has turned itself off a couple times. other times it's on and confused with false alarms. But the temps haven't been above freezing for a couple weeks now. Will discuss at first oil change with dealer,

Also the moisture in the headlights housings seems to be an issue too.

I just assumed the snow/ice on the sensors have caused the false alerts. I also have false alerts with the red flashing lights on windshield for the head on alarm or closing too fast to car in front. It seems to pick up oncoming traffic on 2 lane roads? Seems to happen mostly around dusk or low light, but not dark.

I really dislike the collision warning....residential neighborhoods...just gotta shut it off. No headlight moisture issues here. Never had problems with clean sensors on my Denali. Maybe moisture getting into a connector?

I had a similar problem. Took the truck through a car wash, and was getting intermittent obstacle warnings afterwards. If you look closely at the sensor, you'll see a black ring around it. Mine was pushed in slightly on one side.

Take it to the dealer and get it replaced. Being an intermittent problem, you might have to get customer service involved. Dealers seem very reluctant to replace parts when they can't replicate the problem. Also if your sensor is painted, ask if you can get the body shop to do it. They used a paint stick on mine, and it looks like crap.

Lesson learned, don't apply high pressure water to the front or rear sensors.

If there is any amount of water frozen on the sensor or any debris on it that will trigger the message. They have to be clean otherwise the warning comes on. once you get over 15mph or so the warning goes off.

That's what the tech said today....but noticed my truck was spotless. Appointment is on Friday.

Just had my front sensors replaced by the dealer. Hopefully pick it up sometime this week to see if the false alarms continue
