30K miles service

Yeah Yeah I know, pay the dealer $400 to oil the hood latch, inspect the parking brake and all that hee haw.

But isn't it just the tranny fluid that needs a changing?

My dealer actually talked me out of doing most of the things included in their 30K service.  Suggested a Fuel Filter Change, Tranny Fluid Change and a Caliper Service (way less $$ than the 30K "suggested maintainance").

I just did mine this weekend.  I did all of the following (outside of the normal 3000 mile oil change)

Air filter (every 15000 miles)

Fuel Filter

Transmission Flush

Changed the Front and Rear differential Fluid

I will also change the transfer case fluid, but I haven't been able to find the correct fluid for it.  I had the transmission done, but I did the differentials, air and fuel filters myself.  That is all really easy to do if you don't mind getting a little dirty.  There are great guides on how to do these things on this website's homepage under "guides."  The differential fluid on mine was solid black, and the new stuff is clearish yellow, so it was time for it to be changed.  Just what I did...
