Anybody else having wiper arm issues?

Hey guys every time it gets below freezing, in both my 95 blazer and my 07 Silverado, my driver side wiper stops working in the middle of the blade. I don't think it's a blade issue since I've moved the passenger side blade to the driver side, and back, and each time it's still the driver side on both vehicles. If I crank the heat to the windshield it helps if I'm city driving but not on the highway... are the springs just not strong enough to force down cold wipers? Do I need to buy new wiper arms/springs? Anybody else having this issue?

mine seem to lose flexiblity during very cold weather ... warms up their fine, try switching the arm, not just blade left to right ... 07 new style had a recall for poor down pressure ...

Probably just worn out at those ages. Here in the Great Northwe't, we use our wipers a LOT, and I reblade every fall and replace the bridges every two or three years at the most.

Wow, that's crazy... My freaking 1990 Miata has the stock arms on it and they work just fine no matter what weather
