Wipers Suck..No matter what I do!

Hey guys...got a 07 Sierra 2500hd classic...8.1l in it...Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and did anything to help or fix it...

Ever since I got the truck in 2010...the wipers suck...in everything..rain, sleet, snow...ice...When they wipe, they clear above & below the driver and passenger eye sight..but directly infront of eye sight..it misses...its like there is no rubber hitting the windshield at all....

I have had every brand/type of blade on it...Regular standard blades, Winter Blades, The expensive rainex/bosch curved blades...I even tried bending the wiper arm alittle bit to put more pressure on the blade against the windshield...nothing...no change...

It has a very small chip in the bottom of it...almost 1'' above where the wiper sits in the "off" position..but thats the only known defect I know of the windshield...

Smaller wiper blades

Stock size do not even touch on the ends. They lift up even snow gets under them lol

I like the smaller wiper idea, that should work.

For a really clean and non smearing windshield, use some No Touch Auto Glass Stripper from NAPA. This can help on chattering and skipping, probably won't help to make them touch thou. This stuff cleans off Rain X, wax from the auto car wash and hard water spots. I use it on my side windows to help the water sheet off instead of beading up. This makes it much easier to see at night due to light NOT refracting through the drops. I use a 6 in buffer to help it clean better. It is a

pain to get all the cleaner off. I rinse it and use car wash soap with a brush. That seems to be the fastest way.

Mothers or Meguires makes a similar product that is easier to use, but not as effective.

Sorry, I did not mean to hijack, but this info might help someone.

Please post if smaller wipers help.

I had the exact same problem with my 2000 S-10. For 3 years I tried every different wiper blade there was.

2 minutes to tighten the bolt on wiper arm and it's been streak free ever since.

Car Glass: Cleaning and Polishing -- /DRIVE CLEAN:

I used a razor blade and clay bar then rainx rain repellent spray combined with the rainx washer fluid (to maintain the water repellent feature). I am going to try the machine polishing in the near future

Also my truck (04 1500) does the same streaking issue time to time, but the /DRIVE CLEAN method in the video (link) seems to solve it for me. Good luck!
