Trying to install HID lighting on my Truck

HI all, I'm new to this forum and I'm looking to install HID's on my 08 1500 Sierra... What's the best kit to purchase and what should I do about the DRL's that run off of the low beam or the possibility of bulb flickering ?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.. :nonod:

I own a 2011 silverado and I run 6000k hid's the xenon ones I ordered came with high and low beams and the ballasts and it was all plug n play they do take a few seconds to light up fully but I'm personally not bothered by it and I haven't expericed any flickering and they definitely are a great addition. They light up signs very well.

What brand on xenon HIDs did you buy??? How does it effect your daytime running lights..

As far as I know xenon is the brand. They just go in the spots of all your original lights and they still come on just as the daytime running lights would.

I use a quality product to start it will give you less problems in the future. Ask what type of warranty is offered with whatever brand you decide to use will give you a idea. I used gtr lighting products and happy with results 4th truck I have done in past 3 yrs and not one problem GRT lightning. Com search for dealer in your area there cheaper local dealers. I buy from $25 to $100 off list shop around.

I have always had good luck with Xentec HID's. I have them in my Cruze and they are nice and bright (6K), huge improvement over OEM.

I also have been running them in my ATV's. They have taken a beating in and never had any issues.
