Back-Seat Removal

??? Does anybody know how to remove the upright portion of the back seat on an '02 extended cab?  (same as 99-02)  Thanks.

If i remember right you have to sorta lift it up and out.  

 

I just shook it and pulled or another idea you could try would be to

There are 5 nuts holding it in.

 

2 on each side, and one in the middle connected to a cable. 18mm I believe. You have to remove a plastic piece to get to the drivers side nuts.

 

Remove the 5 nuts, and lift straight up. (There are two hook-like things that slide down behind some metalwork on the back wall.

 

It's pretty easy....Easier with two I would imagine, but I have taken it out, and put it back in several times by myself.

two bolts on each side (19mm deep socket if I remember correctly) take those out and then lift the seat straight up, piece of cake.  Make sure you don't knock off the little rubber pieces on the hooks, otherwise you'll get an annoying rattle sound when you put it back in.
