Need better shocks for my 99

I have a 99 Chevy suburban 2500-4x4,

I want a heavy duty- firmer shock them the Bilsteins on there now. Any reccomendations?

Never had Bilsteins so I don't know how firm they are but I have KYB Mono-Max shocks on both of my burbs and are a firm shock.I really like them.

Doesn't get much better than Bilstein for every day use. Never really heard anyone with this complaint before......Bilstein also makes shocks for motorhomes, that should be a nice 'firm' ride for you.

I replaced the stock bilsteins on my 97 Z71 at 196K miles. The original bilsteins still rebounded when removed but after installing new bilsteins the truck was ALOT stiffer. I bet your stock bilsteins are just getting old and softening up. I have no complaints about the replacement bilsteins except my truck now rides like an HD, really stiff. But I've only put 3000 miles on new shocks so far.
