For the last time: Is this what I need for a successful project? Pics

Recommended Posts

I know I probably bugged this forum to death concerning a retrofitting project for a WT truck to have 1LT features such as power windows, locks, mirrors, and overhead console. I have gathered pictures from ebay to make sure if these are the parts that I need. If there is anything I'm missing in the pictures, please let me know. No dime has been spent on the parts just yet.

Well I can't comment on whether or not you have everything. I just have to say once you get all the parts you are going to be one busy individual. Take your time when you're doing install. It'll be worth it when you're done.

The overhead console does NOT look like the one in my 2011, BUT you failed to say what year you are working on. Profile says Toyota.

its an 07 Classic WT extended cab. It has the custom cloth seats already equipped which are normally found on the LS and 1LT models.

Of course, I'm gonna take my time with it. It's gonna be a one hell of project and will be posted on the builds page.

I say go for it. Some options may work and others not. But we will have a better idea after it is in and knowing what is functional and what is not

As long as the power windows, locks, mirrors and courtesy lamp works, im fine and dandy, afterwards will be a black carpet installation and a full on leather treatment from leatherseats.com

The only thing i can see is the inside door panel is for a 00-02 body style truck. '03 and up have different seat heat buttons. Panel should fit but wouldn't be year consistent.

Well that panel picture is just for reference only, but yes I will use an 03+ for sure.

I love to tinker and make things better... but man you have got you're work cut out for you!

I admire the heck out of your willingness to do this one!

Best of luck to you, man!

Great idea! Good luck with everything. I wouldn't have the patience. I'll be curious to see how it turns out!

Me neither but I will probably do it on a whole day off. The project will commence in January 2016. but first i will buy the parts. And one more question: if I buy a BCM from a 1LT truck plus along with all the wiring and fuse blocks, 9/10 it should fire up right?

Im about 75% sure. Best thing will be to get a complete interior with wriring and BCM. They made a 1LT reg cab thru crew. So you can find the config you need

That's exactly what I will be getting. One last question: again, not trying to be redundant, where does that entire "white box" fuse panel grounds to? In other words, does it ground somewhere in the truck or does it just provide its own power?

My willingness to do this because I am getting this truck from my dad its been babied, and well maintained. It has 60K original miles. Yeah its 4.3, but I could care less..Im saving alotta money from buying a greater truck of the same year and same mileage at a much higher price, perhaps $18,000

Plus, I believe this truck has the potential to be the truck I want it to be without the 5.3L V8.
