Knocking Mode Actuator Above Glove Box - 2002 Silverado

I have the knocking noise initially when I first start the engine. After about 3-4 knocks it quits. I'm sure it will get worse at some point. I'm debating if I should attempt to replace this part or not. I've already replaced the blend door actuator, which was a piece of cake. I hear it's at least a 3 hour job. I pulled down the glove box door and I couldn't even see it. If someone has instructions and/or a link on how to do this, much appreciated. Thanks
