Have you ever noticed...

As usual I always drive with my seat belt on.

Yesterday, as I went to get our mail, which is in a grouped box down the street, I got my mail and driving home the short distance, I did not put on my seat belt.

As I put on my turn signal and could hear it flashing, all of a sudden the seat belt chime came on and muted the turn signal flasher clicking.

I always thought that the flasher made the clicking noise for the turn signal....at least (back in the day) !

Now-a-days with these new fangled computers, they can mute that sound to let you know something else is more important that needs your attention.

Have you ever noticed that?

I did notice that, in the "old days" what you heard was a relay clicking LOL

Now its a speaker that all the sound comes out of

This system has Chimes and click clack going through either the radio or AMP depending on which configuration you have. A warning chime does take precedence over click clack so the chime would overide/be louder than the click clack

seat belt warning completely silences the click clack, it is very strange, it just stops and then starts up again after warning is over LOL

My previous truck did that (2006), however on my current truck the seat belt warning is just a light, or at least that's what did work. The "switch" for that is apparently broken since even with the seat belt on I would get the light...so I unplugged it...no light. Still put on seat belt if I'm leaving my driveway however.
