Adding Subwoofer to Factory Delco??

can you add an amp and a sub to delco cd player????

I have an amp and 2 8inch woofers that i could put in

 

i got a 2000 Silverado 1500 Z71

The Delco deck does not have RCA outputs.  In order to add any type of amp you would have to use the line ins (speakers).  It is not as clean sounding as the RCAs but if that is all you can do that is all you can do.  There are also companies that make adapters to convert the speaker into an RCA but it is the same sound quality, just makes install a tad easier.

As far as the line-out converters that mark w is talking about, I believe that JP Customs (link on the left of the page), sells a variety of them for many different applications. You will need them, if your amp doesn't take inputs directly from the stereos speaker outputs. Most amps do, but some don't.

 

Or you can pick them up at any self-respecting car audio store locally.

hey i am new to the forum here. and i read your post about the subs and i was wondering what wires you hooked up the rca adapter. i have two JL 10"s with a jbl 300 watt amp i have it hooked up but just one of my rca's work so if you could write me back. and tell me what you did
