Rigid Fog light install screw up?

I had my rigid dot fogs installed yesterday. I had it done by a shop, that I have used multiple times before and never had any trouble. He gets started, then comes back and tells me he is going to need to trim some of the plastic to make rigid light fit, which I understood and said yes. After it was done, looking at it I think he trimmed way more than he had too because I hadn't seen or read anyone else having to do this. Before raising hell there, I wanted to check and make sure I am right, that he took way too much off. If anyone has a picture of what the bracket installed should looks like and wouldn't mind posting, that would be appreciated.

Sorry, but you are not correct. That hole is actually there from the factory. The shop did not cut off too much and the install looks great. No problems from what I can see, looks like mine and everyone else's haha

That hole is actually trimmed up there so the OEM fog light can fit. Or well, not the fog light, but the raised ring that goes around it

Ok good, I just wanted to double check. Like I said, I had never read about a hole like that up there. Everything I read said you had to trim some plastic, but to me that seemed like more than a little. I just wanted to verify, before I went back and said something.

Some is needed but from the factory there's no plastic there anyway haha. A week after I installed mine I noticed that hole and was annoyed. Then I realized that it was like that from the factory when I creepily started looking at the fog lights on a stock 14' I saw in a parking lot lol

I originally said they cut too much plastic - but I was wrong. The cut out at the top is about right. I just remembered incorrectly.

I wouldn't be real happy with the scars on the plastic, but other than that, it looks like they did it right.

I would also suggest you shine your fogs against a building from about 25'. Based on my experience, he has them aimed too high and you will blind oncoming traffic.
