Audio questions

I am looking real hard at a 2015 Sierra SLT with the bose but I have a few questions I listen to music a lot in my vehicles. What kind of music files will the SD card play? How well will it orginize them?

Is there any audio outputs on the 8" lcd screen. I would like to add 1 or 2 subwoofers. Is I know that GMC has this as an option so I imagine it can be done.

What is the quality of the bose speakers?

Thank you in advance

I've never touched the SD slot so I can't comment on that, but if it's anything like the E-Class we have, it'll play anything that is in mp3 or wma format, as long as there are no other files on the card. You can add subwoofers, as I've seen this done several times. The ones I've seen were put under the rear seat.

As for the quality of the Bose speakers, they are pretty good. I wouldn't put them on the same level as the LOGIC 7 Harman Kardon on the E-Class, but they sound almost as good, and definitely better than the older Harman Kardon I had on my M3. In short, totally worth it.

I've been using the SD Card slot since my truck doesn't like my ipod classic. So far I really like it. I did organize my music by folders and the system does recognize the folders. Selecting a specific artist will bring you to the folders for the albums and so for. I wanted to make playlists, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

What I did find though, is that if you voice speak for a specific song, when that song is over it will "skip" to a different artist and song. I found out it does it alphabetically. So if you requested to play a song that started with A, it would play the next song that appears alphabetically on the SD card. If you go into the menu and turn on shuffle, it will shuffle play all songs on the SD card. It's not a specific playlist, but it works for me.

As for the Bose system, it suits my needs. I love bass, coming from vehicles that have had 2 12's and 2 10's respectively, the Bose system is just the right amount of bass to keep me happy and keep my wife from getting annoyed that it's too much.

I am just making a mix on an thumb drive. I just have to figure out how to get it to play all.

I do like they way the bose speakers sound I think I will add a few subs later on but at the moment it is more than adequate.
