2011 Denali 1500 Concerns

Hello guys,

I'm jumping ship back to GM motors so I figured I should get on this forum. Looking at a 2011 Denali 1500 with 35k miles. Wondering if there's anything I should be concerned about before I decide to buy. AWD issues ( beside no lifting) ? I've seen there where a few recalls for that year. Any thoughts or knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

What's so "fishy" about it? It's very possible that it was just used more often during that time.

I actually end up with crazy mileage jumps like that all the time with both my trucks. I drive my car to work almost every day, don't use the trucks much for normal day to day driving. There are times when I drive to work in the truck, round trip is about 90 miles and besides on drinking to the store, that is all the miles for the month. Some months, I put less than 50 miles on either truck. When we go on vacation, I drive a truck and can put a few thousand miles on in a very short period of time depending on where we go.

For example, we are set to leave for Colorado this Sunday (6/7) for vacation and starting the return trip on 6/28. It's around 1,650 miles to get there from home. So in one month, I will go from maybe 100 miles drive to at least 3,300 miles driven, would you consider that mileage report to be "fishy"?

We do trips like that several times a year as do others. It's nothing out of th the ordinary, people travel. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with that trucks mileage report.

Do yourself a favor and go look at the truck and take it for a test drive. That's the only way to know if there is an issue. Those Denali's are really nice trucks, that one is pretty much still brand new. Make the trip to check it out, it may very well be worth it. Good find, that doesn't happen often.

I can understand the situations you mentioned, it makes sense. The milage jumps aren't overly concerning to me, just trying to be cautious.

Where in NY are you? I don't blame you for wanting to buy a truck elsewhere... NY is the rust capital of the US
