I've been looking for an answer to this for a couple days with no luck. I am picking up a 2005 silverado tomorrow and would like to get a set of wheels and tires that will sit flush with the factory flares. From what I have been able to find is the stock wheels are around 31mm offset. I would like to go with either a 17" or 18" x 9" wheel and A/T tire. If anyone knows the offset I should get that will put my tires even with the flares please let me know. Some pics of your set up would be great too. Thanks

Even with the flares you are going to gain height from a tore unless you level. You can run slightly less offset but the fenders are cut the same and will rub in the same places with or without flares

I understand, I am just wondering what offset on the wheels guys are buying to push them out. Right now the wheels are way tucked in the flares. I plan on leveling it eventually. I am just looking for ideas on what to run.

If you level a +14 offset or so on a 285/70R17

18 offset is pretty common and supposed the get the tires even with the flares. You can do some quick measuring and calculations yourself based on mounting surface to the flares along with tire width and offset to get it "perfect"

I am glad you said this because after doing more research this is exactly what I came up with for offset and tire size. Thanks

I am picking up the truck tonight and will be doing exactly that. I will see how much I need to come out and use the MM to inches calc. to do my figuring thanks.
