Are they the stock gears or did you just buy the truck set up with the lift, wheels and tires already on? Sorry to keep bugging you but I'm trying to decided if I should bother with the BL and 34-35's or if it's just to much for stock gearing.

Stock gears no I put everything on it.. well payed to have everything on it lol .. got my amp steps put on today those r nice and slick plus helps to cover the little bit of frame you could see.. tires measure 34.25 don't know if all 35/12.50 would fit

Awesome! That helps a ton since I've been wondering how it would feel with stock gearing and bigger tires.

 

If your truck has 3.42's you've essentially gone down (numerically) to a 3.15 overall ratio which is of course still better than the stock 3.08's but I just haven't heard of many people doing this. To correct this you would only need a 3.73 for it to drive like stock. Well, stock with heavier wheels and tires, lol.

Would that make me get better fuel mileage ? Or just make it shift and drive more like stock?

I want to add a 1.5 zone to my truck also so i can hopefully squeeze 37's with this fabtech 6" :-)

If it helps, I have a 5.3 w/ 3.42s 6" RCX lift and 35x12.5x20 tires. I have a Diablo tuner and if you just increase throttle response, it feels like stock. I have the throttle response at 15 or 20% (had it this way before I had the lift and tires) and it feels the exact same now as it did before, IMO.
