Which Door Speakers Impress You?

Listening to Crutchfield advisors, I installed Kicker KSS and KSC speakers in my crew cab. I have a Pioneer GM-D8604 amp to push them. I also have another amp and 2 10" subs. I was disappointed with the door speakers. Considering the price of speakers and amp, it is definitely not a worthy upgrade in my opinion. Back in the day I had 1 pair of MB Quart and 2 8" subs in a truck that truly sounded better with clarity and would reach a much higher volume. Currently I have the bass turned way down and treble up, yet it doesn't seem to blend well. If I turn the bass up, it becomes excessive with the most noticeable difference heard in the subs. I seem to lack mid-range sound and the highs aren't loud enough to keep up with the subs. I'm really disappointed.

 

With that being said, I may again replace my door speakers. What speakers would work well with my Pioneer amp have you actually heard that you really liked?
