mjoekingz28 Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 2003 2500 with LT245/75-16 here Placard states 50f/80r in psi. I assume this is for full pulls with heavy loads. I searched the Chevrolet site to find a technical advisor or engineer to ask, but is there a better tire pressure for an unloaded truck?
RyanbabZ71 Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Just experiment and see what rides the best. I would start maybe 40-45 all around and go from there.
Babyhauler Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 I typically ran 44 front and 40 rear in my 1500s. Never really hauled regular so it was for best wear pattern. The 2500's have 65 empty and 80 when hauling dump trailer or 24 ft gooseneck with tractor on it. I am not sure if 65 is enough to prevent edge wear on front tires. I am not hitting the corners as hard with the Duramax, so maybe the T/A's will be okay. 65 psi rides better than 80.
