desert trip

We spent the weekend Camping on our gold claim near Fort Irwin in the high desert north of Barstow California. We moved a lot of dirt looking for some gold and found just a little. The weather was perfect as but the best thing was the time spent with my sweetie enjoying the solitude of the great desert. Batgirl got to drive the truck for a while so I took a picture. Here she is guys I'm a lucky man.

Nice to have some scenery.  I know I love being out in Arizona or visiting my brother in Vegas and seeing something besides flat land for a while.

Well...the gold we got didn't even fill the bottom of the vial. But we had a good time.  I love throwing dirt around. The digging is easier when you are getting a lot of gold but it's a good work out.  

We were so bummed out, no one else showed up to our outing. We had the whole desert to ourselves. Saturday night we had a potluck. I brought the taquitos and Tim brought the brownies. HEHEHEHEHE.

My brother in-law used to really get into the mining thing, but he did alot of it in rivers and stuff.  He also built himself a shaker table!!  Pretty impresive to say the least.

 

As long as you have fun that is all that counts!!
