2016 Silverado & Sierra Production

Anybody know when GM stops production of 2015 trucks and when 2016 trucks start? Also, some were made in Mexico. Do we as consumers have a pick of where our trucks are made? My US made 2006 Silverado Z71 has been a great reliable truck but I need a new one.

October 5th regular and double, crew 1/2 the 28th. HD crew starts mid-end of September.

American crew 1/2 ton are extra capacity if needed. Majority are Mexico. And so far, they build them just as good as Flint and Ft. Wayne.

Anyone know why so late this year? Must be something other than the cosmetic changes announced.
