how to tell if there are tpms

going to look at a set of takeoffs for winter tires. seller says the sensors are still in them. any way to tell? thanks

If you break down the tire from the wheel, you can see them on the back side of the valve stem.

If you have the tool to reset the sensors you could try using that to communicate with the sensors.
