2016 power tailgate lock

No need to wait for the 2016 hardware, just buy the Pop-n-lock kit. It's not hard at all.

I just installed Pop n Lock on my '15 Silverado this past weekend. It was straightforward. The only thing I don't like is it's loud. But works like a charm.

This has been on my list, and I was thinking about using some dynamat inside the tailgate. Maybe you can give it a try and see if it works, if it is annoying you that much. Im very interested in the results..

Dynamat is a good idea. It doesn't bother me that much. Just the fact that it sounds non-OEM is all (compare to cabin door locks).

Yea I know what you mean. I got a dodge ram rental once and the tailgate lock was really loud.
