Anyone else had a bad battery?

Well my truck (14' 1500 SLT) wouldn't start Friday morning. Threw a tender on it and hitched a ride into work. Came home and it started fine. Ran to the store, turned it off and it started fine again 10 min later. Saturday morning get up to head out and truck wouldn't start again - battery was reading 10.5v. Take the battery out and head to the dealer to get it tested. Handheld tester said it was a bad battery. Had it covered under warranty thankfully! Bought the truck in Feb '14, so pretty early for a battery to go. I've had other last easily 6+ years. Anyone else had a bum battery or is this a one off?

We had a couple deads on 2014's. I'd take it to the dealer and have them test the battery with the GR-8 battery diag. unit and then test the charging system and test for loads drawing the system.

Thanks, I did bring the battery in - they told me they needed the whole truck, so I went back home, tossed the dead battery back in, boosted the truck and took it in..... Told me the battery tested fine, but was low. They'd charge it up for me though. Next day they found the battery was low again, so they replaced the battery at no cost to me.

Had mine fail this weekend. Luckily, I was at home when it died...

2014 Silverado, 13,000 miles, built 8/2013, delivered 9/2013. Truck ran fine all week. Friday, slow start and noticed the DIC/Mylink welcome screens didn't flash and remained blank until well after truck started. Ran a few errands and restarted fine, but noticed the radio would not keep the station locked in (went to "snow" as if station was lost). Saturday, would not start...click, click...Put my tender on it and it was fully charged in 20 minutes. Not normal, usually takes upwards of an hour minimum. Turned the key...click, no start. Voltmeter read 10Volts. Jump started and it started right up. Drove around a bit and parked in garage. Turned it off and tried to restart...click, no start. So, got up early this morning, jump started and off to dealer. They tested it and said it tested low at 151CCA out of 720CCA and replaced it under warranty. In and out in 2 hours with a new battery. Started just fine and restarted several times. All seems good. But 2 ½ years doesn't seem good on a battery for a garage kept, moderate temp environment (although it does get over 100F here).

My 2015's died within a week of me bringing it home new off the lot. I drove the truck steadily about 600 miles in its first 2 days with me and then it sat for 6 days and was dead enough it just clicked the solenoid. I junked the Delco like I always do and installed an Odyssey.... zero issues since.
