I was going up a parking garage this afternoon while it was raining. I slid a bit as I came out of one of the turns so left off a bit and kept going. When I got to the top and tried to turn,my truck began acting as if it had a locked differenial. Tires were skipping as I turn and then it stopped when I straightened out. Put it in reverse and a huge clunk. I decided to turn off and back on only to be welcomed by an extremely loud high pitched noise coming from one speaker. Anyone have any clue what the hell this is? Are the differentials electronically controlled.?

Which tires were skipping. If it was the front then your 4wd is either on or set on Auto. The G80 locker is mechanical and locks at a certain tire RPM and unlocks after that. It is possible you could have busted the G80 but I would say you are locked in 4wd somehow.

I'm thinking transfer case as well - especially with the loud whining noise. There are several bulletins on issues with the transfer case.
