2015 GMC Sierra fuse box help.

I'm installing a light bar and want to run the power wire to an open circuit of the fuse box located on the drivers side under the hood. My two questions are :

1. How do you pull the fuse box up gain access so I can run the positive wire.

2. I'm sure I know this answer but when accessing that area is just the same concept of any wiring job.

Thanks in advance.

Remove the lid. You will see two grey basket handle looking things. There are some lock tabs on each side of the handles. If you push/pull (I forget which) you will get the handle to flip up. You have to flip them equally up and the box will rise off the UBEC connectors.

-Remove the cover.

-Release the locks securing the junction block handles.

-Rotate both handles upward disengaging the junction block from the base and the connectors.

-Lift the junction block away from the base and remove it from the vehicle.

Thanks. Now to tackle the firewall. Trying to figure my best route inside.

There is a rubber bung on the drivers side of the truck, its pretty big. There is a little "nipple" that sticks out from it. Its tricky to pierce through it into the cab (need a stiff piece of steel rod/wire like mechanics wire) but it can be done.

There's a big rubber bung with a little nipple on our trucks? Lol

If I can hi-jack a little bit... What fuses are people using to pull power from in the engine bay fuse box in order to get keyed power? I realize it's a newb question but it seems like there are a lot of different options here. Is there one or two that would be a better choice in terms of using a fuse tap on?

I''m finally getting around to installing a aux power distribution box and could use a little help with the above mentioned issue.
