had I bought a new truck (or one that was like year old or so) I would have got the ram. its a lot of truck for a lot less money but I decided I didn't want to go in debt for one.

I spent almost 3 months with the ram and had terrible luck with it. Ended up trading it, taking a hit on the down payment i put down on it, and got myself into a '16 Silverado 3500HD with the Duramax. Long story short, the ram had some engine ticking they acknowledged as a problem but could not figure out what was wrong. Chrysler's recommendation was to "tear into the engine to troubleshoot". the interior was starting to creak as I drove down the road as well. A bummer, because I did like the ram. especially the 6.4l hemi engine. In the end, spent more than I would have liked, but I'm very happy being back with chevy.

my duramax was the biggest pos I ever owned personally but people love them for some reason. I refuse to own another diesel because of it. my brother in law has a 12 ram service truck gets about 300 miles a day put on it with a tool bed loaded full. it never gives him any issues. just my experience. my gas chevy so far I love it though as well as the other gas ones ive had.

seems to be luck of the draw. I went with the gas in the ram HD because of all the trouble I read about with diesels on the internet (emissions, expensive repairs, etc.). Figured the gas engine would be a safe bet. go figure. My dad, grandpa, and uncle have each had 15+ years of (almost) trouble free service out of various diesel trucks. Hoping this one gives me similar results.
