putting in a gooseneck hitch

maybe no one saw this the first time      im wanting to put a gooseneck hitch on and dont know whether i should weld one on or buy a bolt on one from a company   i will be pulling a heavy load            which one if bolt on ive heard of one that you can pull the ball out from the side over the wheel   please help
