I just traded in my 2001 Chevy Silverado Extended Cab 4x4 Z71 pick-up for the truck described in my signature line below. I'm glad to join you.

I think there are a few other guys in here with the quadrasteer option.  Keep us up to date on how you like it...

Welcome...I just picked up a Sierra Denali with quadra last week.  Good to know there are other folks here with the same set-up

I've had my Quadrasteer for almost three weeks now and have over 1700 miles on it.  Absolutely love the truck but have had one minor intermittant problem with the quadrasteer.  Twice (on the same day) I had "Service Quadrasteer" flash on the DIC and the lights of 2, 4 and the Trailer flash in order.  I immediately called the Service Department and have an appointment for Friday...he said it couldn't be anything major and that I could wait for it as it should only take thirty minutes.  This all happened on day six of ownership and hasn't happened since.  Except for that minor problem, no rattles, squeaks, problems and I'm averaging 17 mpg on the highway which accounts for 90% of my driving - not bad for a 4x4, 5.3L that's barely broke in....

By the way, for those who worry about the Quadrasteer problems, when I received the error, I checked the rear end and the wheels had defaulted to the non-steering center position.  And, when I got the fault, I immediatly pulled over, turned off the vehicle and then restarted it.  Everything was normal and according to my Service Manager, he said I was basically rebooting the computer by turning the truck off thus it was still usable after startup.  Minor problem but love the truck!!!  Extremely, extremely stable on ice and snow when going through the pass last weekend!

I've had my Suburban 2500 with quadrasteer for 6 weeks and also have nothing but praise for the system.  No faults with 1K miles and trailering is a breeze.   I especially like the XM radio and the kids watch DVD's and stay quiet.

Welcome aboard, seem to be more Quadrasteers everyday around here.  Good deal.

I'm sure there's a LOT of staring going on in our local communities when the Quads roll by!

QUADRASTEER IS AWESOME!

To those who do not know, there is an interesting web site at www.MrTruck.net.  He has set up a quadrasteer web site for those who might be interested.  The address is www.quadrasteerclub.com.  He has posted a very good overview of quadrasteer based on his experience as well as links to other auto reviewers.  Every review is positive and reenforces the decision to go quad.  Good luck to all members of the quad squad.

Hmm, I think I see a name y'all need to embrace.

I think you're right. Dr. Dan nailed it

"Quad Squad" is GREAT name for us quadders

I'm going into "profiles" to add that to my tagline right now.

Further info concerning my earlier post and the Quadrasteer problem, I took it in on Friday, they checked it out and found nothing wrong with the system.  They said there were no codes thrown and everything worked fine...seems to be the same problem of phantom's in the new electrical system.  I'm not sure I'm all that cracked up about the new multiplexing system but the service guy assured me I didn't really want all the wires on the truck that it would take to run the new ones thus the multiplexing of signals on the same wire.

Bottom line is the thing hasn't given me anymore problems and is a terrific pickup.  Hauls top soil, furniture, dirt bikes, rig supplies, etc., and never complains...although I do get some funny looks at the rear end from time to time.  Great truck!
