OEM sized Duratracs

I've been thinking about putting the same tires on my stock 20's. I want to get these stock LS2's off before winter. They look like they are gonna handle like crap in snow. I definitely want something more aggressive but actually don't want anything sticking out past the wheel wells. I like the look but don't want to deal with the crap getting thrown all down the side of my truck.

Do the duratracs on the stock 20's stick out past the wheel well? It's hard to tell in those photos.

How are you liking the Dynapros? As far as I can tell I believe you and I are the only folks on the forum that have them. I've got a set LT 275/65/18's and they have worked well for heavy towing and daily commuting.

I like them alot so far. I think they look better than I thought they would. Ride good and quiet. We'll see how they last.

I've seen pics of 275/60-20 duratracs and they actually look narrower than the ls-2's. If you look at the specs, most 275/60 20's are narrower than 275/55-20's, don't know why though. I think the ls-2 are pretty wide for there size.

My dad's don't stick out past the fender at all. His are P rated and ride just like factory, maybe even a bit softer. The only difference is that he can actually drive it in the winter in Traverse City, MI (NW Mich) in the winter.

Did he notice any drop in mpg with the p rated duratracs??

I can't call him right now, but i'd assume yes. They're heavier, thus more rotational mass.

They aren't much heavier than stock but heavier nonetheless....was just hoping I'd see that the mpg drop was minimal. Still trying to make up my mind on what to go with....

They are heavier but only 6 lbs heavier. That's 24lbs of rotational mass. Don't know the formula, but have heard that's like double static weight. So that's really only 48 or 50 lbs. even if it's 75 lbs, that shouldn't hurt fuel economy. I think my bed mat weighs 50 lbs.

The Dynapro AT-M's weigh 43 lbs. Three lbs heavier than stock.

I texted my dad about the loss of MPG's, and his reply was "I think i lost MPG's, 2 or 3 if i remember right"

Sorry I don't have a more definitive answer for you all, but he is a 66 year old guy that doesn't really care about vehicles the way we do on this forum.

Thanks for all the replies guys this helps a lot. Stanley do you have a level kit installed - it looks like it. Looks good.

I feel like a broad deciding on a pair of shoes. Ha

I do have a 2.5" level and I would share the brand but, I honestly have no idea. I had it installed at the dealership.
